Book This Dreamy Campsite Along West Virginia’s Meadow River and You Won’t Be Disappointed
For an immersive nature experience, how about spending a few nights at a dreamy campsite along West Virginia's Meadow River?
Have you ever stayed at a campground on the water? I mean, there's nothing better than camping on the banks of a lake or river where you have access to swimming, fishing, and boating. The Meadow River is a tributary of the Gauley River, and it snakes its way through two largely rural counties: Greenbrier and Nicholas.
For an immersive nature experience, how about spending a few nights at a dreamy campsite along West Virginia's Meadow River? With its waterfront access, you can spend the day lazing on the riverbank or enjoying time in or on the water.
Nallen is an unincorporated community in Nicholas County, and it's here where you can book a stay at a semi-private cabin along the Meadow River. Named Meadowcroft Riverfront Cabin, the rustic accommodation is described as "like camping, but with a roof over your head."
The cabin is a remodeled Amish-built shed. Its amenities include a refrigerator with a freezer, WiFi, and electricity, a camping stove on the porch, a microwave, an electric kettle, and a folding table with chairs. There are no plates, pots, pans, or utensils to use, so bring what you need to cook. A total of six guests are allowed to camp here, and it's dog-friendly, too!
There is a pull-out futon for sleeping arrangements. However, you must bring your own bedding, and a mattress pad is recommended for added comfort. Speaking of comfort, the cabin has air conditioning and an electric fan for hot weather and a wood stove for cold weather. Firewood is available for purchase.
While there is no bathroom or running water, a clean port-a-potty and a spigot that provides treated river water are available on the property. This is camping, after all! Due to its remote location, this campsite also does not have cell phone service. But wouldn't it be nice to disconnect for a little while?
You won't want to be on your phone when camping on the banks of the Meadow River anyway. Instead, you'll be too busy relaxing by the water, taking a dip, fishing, or taking a canoe, kayak, or paddleboard out on the water. Remember that this is your nature escape, and you should enjoy it as much as possible without distraction.
I would love nothing more than to disconnect and be at one with nature here. Wouldn't you love to spend a few nights at this dreamy campsite along West Virginia's Meadow River? If you said "yes," book your stay at the Meadowcroft Waterfront Cabin through the Hipcamp website.
