Is there anything more classic than a burger? We don't think so. Because while we love food in all forms and flavors here at Only In Your State, there's something about a burger that makes our editors' stomachs rumble—even if we just had lunch.

Our readers agreed, answering our call for the best burgers in the U.S. with a bevy of burger submissions, from smash burgers and bison burgers to green chili cheeseburgers and everything in between. After careful deliberation (and more than a few burgers eaten), we're pleased to present to you Only In Your State's 50 Best burgers across the U.S.

Let's get one thing out of the way: calling any joint the “best” is going to ruffle some feathers (or pork bellies). If your favorite burger didn't make the list, tell us about it! And maybe give one, two, or all 50 of these burger spots a go. You might just find room in your heart (and stomach) for a new favorite.
