This Candlelit Restaurant in Rhode Island is Perfect for a Cozy Night Out
Enjoy romance, delicious cuisine, and sweeping waterfront views at the Coast Guard House Restaurant in Narragansett, Rhode Island.

A great dining experience is about so much more than just the food. Yes, the cuisine is undoubtedly the key factor, but great service, a beautiful setting, and a warm atmosphere can turn a good restaurant experience into an unforgettable one. A place that embodies all of these aspects exists along the waterfront in Narragansett, Rhode Island, and once you hear about it, you will definitely want to make the trip. A cozy meal awaits your arrival at the exceptional Coast Guard House Restaurant.
The Coast Guard House has been a popular fixture in the area for several decades. As the name implies, the restaurant is housed in a former Coast Guard station dating back to the late 1800s. The Coast Guard House is well-known for its delicious fresh seafood as well as its magnificent waterfront views of Narragansett Bay. It is the perfect place for a romantic date or a cozy night out. But wait, it gets even better.
On select nights, the restaurant hosts its special “Candlelight Nights” dinner series. During this special, seasonally themed candlelit event, guests can dine on delicious cuisine as dozens of flickering candles lend a soft, warm glow to the already beautiful dining room. I can't think of a better date night!
As you sit back and relax in the restaurant’s gorgeous Anchor Room and gaze out into the bay while savoring a fine wine or specialty cocktail, the romantic vibe surrounds you, only to be rivaled by the vast dinner menu filled with scrumptious choices such as filet mignon, house-made lobster ravioli, and ribeye steak. Leave room for a dessert (think maple butter cake and sweet potato tart) because they are equally as amazing as the entrees.
The candlelight dinners take place on the second Tuesday of the month. The Coast Guard House also hosts extended candlelight dinners during the winter holidays and around Valentine’s Day. Be sure to make reservations well in advance, as these events have quickly become customer favorites and may fill up quickly.
And if you are looking for an even more intimate dining experience, you may want to consider booking one of the Coast Guard House’s seasonal igloos. The cozy spaces offer waterfront views in a private oasis. A heater and fireplace will keep you warm and toasty while you dine on delicious cuisine in a very unique and beautiful setting. If you have never experienced igloo dining, I highly recommend doing so.
