1. The Absaroka Mountains
Amphitheater Mountain is just one of the peaks that rises above 10,000 feet in elevation in the Absaroka Range. These mountains line the Montana-Wyoming border and stretch for over 150 miles. Hiking through the peaks here is certainly a remote adventure.
2. Gros Ventre Wilderness
The Gros Ventre Wilderness is the best place to enjoy Teton views without crowds. Relax for days in the campgrounds and on the trails that you'll share with all sorts of wildlife.

Mountain lovers flock to the Wind River Range for some of the best hiking and backpacking in the world. The famous Cirque of the Towers is a bucket list destination for many adventurers.

Shoshone National Forest shows off some of the prettiest landscapes in the country! Some of our state's most scenic drives, the Beartooth Highway and the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway, wind their way through this remote wonderland.
7. Hole in the Wall
Hole in the Wall is one of the most remote places in Wyoming - that's why it was an outlaw hideout! If you love history, you'll love exploring the place where Butch Cassidy hid from the law.
