It's no surprise that this darling bakery and café makes its home in Wyoming's food destination. Persephone is open most of the day and serves breakfast and lunch in addition to turning out some of the most heavenly muffins, pastries, and cakes in the country.
2. The Bread Basket of Jackson Hole, 185 Scott Lane, Jackson
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Guests at the Bread Basket love the authenticity of this bakery. Best described as a Mexican bakery with a French influence, you'll find all sorts of delicacies here including fruit-filled pannacotta and pastry horns oozing with lip-smacking sweet cream. Plus, they serve salads, sandwiches, and tortas, too.
3. Sweets Cakes & Pastry, 211 Grand Avenue, Laramie

Sweets is a specialty cake bakery that turns out some amazing cakes for all occasions. They do more than just cakes at Sweets, though. Stop in and try their cookies, pies, cinnamon rolls, cannoli, or extra-special whoopee pies.

This boutique bakery takes pride in putting their focus on all things baked and frosted. They turn out some dazzling and delicious cakes including a to-die-for red velvet topped with chocolate fudge and chocolate chips and boasting two kinds of fillings inside: white chocolate buttercream and Oreo truffle. You have to try it to believe it! You can also get delicious muffins, cookies, cupcakes, scones, and cheesecake at this bodacious bakery.
5. Piece-A-Cake, Casper

No, you can't walk in and get a slice of cake and a cup of coffee at Piece-A-Cake in Casper, but we've included it on the list because it's the place to get the most wicked-awesome cakes and cupcakes for any occasion. They've got your back for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, baby showers, business events - whatever the circumstance calls for over-the-top cake. Plus, their cake pops can't be beat!
6. Frosted Tops, 123 West E Street, Casper
Hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
For that spur-of-the-moment sweets craving, Frosted Tops is the place to go. Their menu is filled with all the sweet treats you have a hankering for but don't want to spend time making. From cinnamon rolls to fruit-filled crostata to cookies, cupcakes, and more, you'll have plenty to choose from here. Plus, it's one of the few places you can find authentic macarons.
7. Flour Bin, 260 West 1st Street, Casper
Hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Flour Bin is where Casper goes to get bagels, but they have so much more! With tasty treats such as cupcakes, cookies, and caramel rolls on the menu, you're certain to find something sweet to satisfy you here. If you visit, keep an eye out for whatever seasonal specialty they're baking up.
8. Alla Lala Cupcakes and Sweet Things, 204 South Gillette Avenue, Gillette
Hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
With a long list of amazingly creative mini cakes on the menu such as s'mores, maple-bacon, and caramel Macchiato, Alla Lala could be considered a cupcakery. However, they do offer a wide selection of other sweet confections including macarons and fruit, nut, and cream-filled crepes. Hit Alla Lala for a late lunch (after 1 p.m.) for a delicious bowl of soup, a crisp and savory panini, and enjoy cupcake happy hour. What's more, they put out some of the most beautiful and creative cakes, made to order for special occasions.
9. Sweet Lou's Bakery-N-Café, 120 West 20th Avenue, Torrington
Hours: Monday - Friday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Saturdays, 6 a.m. to 11 a.m.
This welcoming bakery is a comfortable spot for breakfast or lunch as well as the perfect place to enjoy a coffee break with a piece of cake or pie, a cookie, or a delectable Danish. Many regulars recommend the caramel pecan roll--it's sublime!
