You don’t need to be a biker to have a good time in New Glarus. If you’re into history, you’ll want to visit the Swiss Historical Village. The village gives visitors a glimpse into what life was like when New Glarus was a Swiss Colony.
If you’re a foodie, you’ll find a lot to love about the town’s dining scene. You’ll find all the Old World favorites, including Swiss specialties like Schnitzel, Geschnetzelets, Roesti potatoes, cheese fondue, and more.
Just outside of town, New Glarus State Park is a good place for a scenic hike. It’s laced with miles of forest trails.
A pint of New Glarus beer is a must when you’re in town. New Glarus is home of the New Glarus Brewing Company and their easy-drinking beer, Spotted Cow. Some visitors don’t leave town without buying cases of this beer!
New Glarus hotels can fill up on weekend, especially during summer months and when the town is holding a festival. Make reservations early to make sure you don’t miss out on the Swiss fun!
