Don’t let the cold winter weather put a halt on your plans for lakefront dining. Instead, simply book a Hop House at Lakefront Brewery. The cozy abodes are heated AND transparent, which means you can enjoy waterfront vistas while remaining nice and toasty. Take a look:

Basically a Milwaukee landmark, Lakefront Brewery opened back in 1987.
Among the brewery’s best features are its location on the Milwaukee River and spacious Riverwalk Patio.
In the winter, Hop Houses, which are greenhouses that have been transformed into private dining abodes, replace the tables and chairs that typically occupy the patio.
All in all, there are five Hop Houses. Three Hop Houses can fit up to six people, while the other two can fit up to eight.
Each Hop House is equipped with a 1,500-watt electric heater as well as a wood floor with a rug, ensuring everyone’s feet are toasty and comfy.
The perks don’t end with functional features, though. There are also twinkle lights and chic décor.
Hop Houses are available in 90-minute increments and must be reserved in advance; however, those aren’t the only stipulations you need to know about.
When booking a Hop House, you’ll have to pay a rental fee, which varies depending on the size of the Hop House rented. It also depends on the day of the week (prices are a bit higher on weekends).
Additionally, reservations include a food and beverage minimum, which is $100 for 6-person Hop Houses and $150 for 8-person Hop Houses.
Speaking of the fare, there are a couple of options, including a chef-designed menu. Items from the chef-designed menu must be pre-ordered during the booking process.
Prefer to order when you arrive? Don’t worry; the brewery’s in-house dining and drink menu will also be available.
Though enough of a reason to visit, the Hop House Experience isn’t the only unique dining option offered by Lakefront Brewery.
There’s also the Private Dining Experience, which involves a meal in the brewery’s tour room overlooking the brewhouse.
For more information, call Lakefront Brewery at (414) 372-8800. You can also visit the brewery’s website or Facebook page.
