When a restaurant’s been in business for nearly 100 years, they’ve got to be doing something right. And in the case of Coney Island Station, that "something" is hot dogs. Yep, the legendary eatery has been doling out doggone good dogs since the 1920s, making it one of the state’s tastiest traditions. Take a look:

A La Crosse legend, Coney Island Station opened its first location on 4th Street in 1922.
Since the opening of the original Coney Island Station in downtown La Crosse, three additional locations have been opened - two in La Crosse and one in Holmen.
And while the grub is the same at all four restaurants, nothing quite compares to the original, which is charmingly and authentically old-fashioned.
Of course, the grub is what truly counts, so a visit to any locale is sure to do the trick when you’ve got a hankering for a hot dog.
The perfectly prepped dogs are quite frankly (get it?!) some of the best in the state.
It’s not just the hot dogs that patrons love, though. The eatery’s signature chili sauce is also a customer favorite, and the perfect addition to any hot dog.
Can’t make it to Coney Island Station? No problem. The eatery will actually ship its hot dogs and famous chili sauce to any state in the country – something it’s been doing since 1998, when a former La Crosse resident requested that the eatery ship 100 hot dogs to Hawaii.
Since then, the hot dogs have been shipped to nearly every state in the nation!
In addition to hot dogs, the menu features a few other fast food eats, including sandwiches, fries, onion rings, and more.
Serving up legendary hot dogs with a side of nostalgia, Coney Island Station is an old-fashioned favorite – and it’s easy to see why!
