The store is located roadside on the main thoroughfare, on a scenic and winding two-lane road just 12 miles from I-79.
Once inside Walton Mercantile and Hardware, you'll discover a world of merchandise packed into the massive space, which just about every surface covered with items ranging from groceries to hardware, plants, furniture, and even a restaurant/brewery.
On a side note: the locals like to call it The Thriftway, because change is hard and for decades it was known as The Thriftway. You'll find a wide variety of items in this charming old time general store.
They even carry handmade Amish furniture.
Most people who've already been to and/or frequent Walton Mercantile will tell you it's one of the friendliest stores they've been into. The staff is always helpful and welcoming and the atmosphere, in general, is open and inviting.
Whatever you're seeking to purchase, if you can't find it at Walton Mercantile, then they probably don't make it anymore.
