Tucked away in the tiny town of Davis in Tucker County, Mountain Trail Rides has been around since 1997.
From the mountain air to the picturesque landscape, this hidden gem is truly a paradise for both nature and animal lovers.
There’s a lot you can do at Mountain Trail Rides. As their name would suggest, horseback riding is the most popular attraction.
No matter what your skill or age level is, Mountain Trail Rides has a horse that’s perfect for you.
Once you and your family are paired with your perfect horse, you’ll set off on the trail. The views of the Appalachian Mountains are simply stunning.
Afterward, gather up the gang and head over to the petting zoo.
These barnyard babies are absolutely adorable and the kids of all ages will delight in being able to feed and pet these friendly farm animals.
You’ll get up close and personal with fluffy bunnies, snuggly llamas, baby sheep, and all the other farm animals around.
There’s also an adventure cave to explore. You and the kids are armed with only a hard hat, mining hat, bucket, and shovel and enter a fabricated cave in complete darkness to mine for over 200 different rocks, minerals, gems, and fossils from all over the world.
With all the attractions at this family-friendly spot, it can be easy to spend an entire afternoon here. Be sure to call ahead to reserve your time so they'll be expecting you.
