Fall is officially here. It's one of the best times to be in West Virginia. Here are some of the things that everyone in the state does this time of year.
1. See a college football game.
Maybe the Mountaineers or the Thundering Herd.
2. Go to a haunted house or trail.
...Or maybe a haunted event at the former state prison.
3. Have a bonfire.
The weather is finally cool enough to enjoy these again.
4. Rake leaves.
Those trees are beautiful but the leaves are a lot of work.
5. And after you rake them, you can play in them.
There shouldn't be an age limit on this one.
6. Get lost.
In one of West Virginia's corn mazes.
7. Visit the pumpkin house.
...if they're in driving distance of Kenova.
8. Enjoy the fall colors.
West Virginia has so many great places to view the fall foliage.
9. Go to a pumpkin patch.
It's important to pick out a good pumpkin.
10. Eat delicious apple butter.
We all have that one friend or relative that makes it and gives it away (and we are thankful for them).
11. Get scared at the Halloween events at Camden Park or Kennywood.
Fridays and Saturdays in October at these parks sure are scary.
How many of these things do you like to do in the fall? Did I leave anything out? Let me know in the comments.
