If you've flown out of SeaTac or Paine Field recently, you may have noticed that the iconic, beloved Beecher's has set up shop for travelers in need of a cheese fix. Since 2003, Beecher's Handmade Cheese has been a staple at the historic Pike Place Market in Seattle. And while it now has a few other locations, there's truly no better place on Earth to enjoy their signature mac & cheese than at the original location itself.
Beecher's Handmade Cheese is a prominent part of Pike Place Market, having been around for nearly two decades.
Kurt Beecher Dammeier founded the company after being a cheese lover his entire life.
Kurt has long felt passionately about eating foods that are free from preservatives and additives, so Beecher's cheese is as pure as it gets.
The company's cheeses, crackers, and other food items are all made from the finest ingredients.
If you're lucky, you can see the cheesemakers hard at work when you visit the cafe.
It's quite a sight!
The Beecher's cafe serves a lot of delicious lunch items, but they're famous for their mac & cheese.
It's known as the World's Best Mac & Cheese, a title it deserves.
Beecher's signature mac & cheese is made with its delicious Flagship Cheddar.
The Pike Place Market cafe also serves other lunch items, like grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup.
This is comfort food done right.
We firmly believe that Beecher's mac &cheese should be enjoyed at the market whenever possible.
And yes, it's well worth making the drive for this meal and these views.
Have you ever tried Beecher's mac & cheese? We're lucky to have this handmade cheese shop here in Washington. For other ideas on where to go to satisfy your mac & cheese cravings, check out this list.
