This has already been a rather strange year, but we can still admit that life is pretty sweet here in Washington. And sometimes celebrating a victory or a milestone -- or surviving a long, treacherous Tuesday -- calls for a delicious celebration. But be warned, the moment you try a treat from Sweet Life Cakery, there's no going back to ordinary desserts (sorry).
Sweet Life Cakery is located in Kingston, a charming little town in Kitsap County and a common destination of the Edmonds Ferry.
Owner and chief cake artist Methia Gordon brings a whopping 27 years of baking experience to this local treasure.
While current regulations don't allow the cakery storefront to be open, you can still arrange for a pickup or local delivery.
Of course, this is temporary, and soon you'll be able to visit from Tuesday - Saturday.
These irresistible delights are hand-crafted from scratch and made with quality ingredients, which are local and organic when possible.
There are no artificial flavors here -- the real flavors are fantastic enough.
The most popular treat here, by far, is the Sweet Bliss.
It's the signature gourmet treat, which Methia describes as an organic Ding Dong.
The Sweet Bliss lives up to the hype -- and with a little advance notice, you can order dozens of them for your next gathering (or for yourself).
You can even get a gluten free version.
But as delicious as the daily pastries are, Sweet Life Cakery actually specializes in customized wedding and special occasion cakes... and they're magnificent.
Consultations and cake tastings are available by appointment.
Sweet Life Cakery is currently offering specialty sample boxes for curbside pickup or delivery.
Order some, and prepare to be (willingly) addicted.
Tempted? You can learn more about what's baking at Sweet Life Cakery on their website.
