The sandwich is one of the most beloved and iconic foods of all time, and we're extremely lucky to have some tasty sandwich shops here in Washington (like this one, with its epic milkshakes to pair with them). But if you can't decide between a classic deli sandwich, a Cuban, a Shrimp Po' Boy or a good old-fashioned grilled cheese, there's really only one place to go: Now Make Me a Sandwich in Burien. This wildly underrated new lunch spot will win you over after one visit.
Now Make Me a Sandwich got its start as a food truck in 2018.
The food truck served the entire greater Seattle area, earning popularity at breweries and and other businesses for years.
Finally, earlier in 2022, owner Pedro Degollado was able to open a brick and mortar restaurant on Burien's charming SW 152nd St.
And even though it's new, this place is already a beloved local favorite.
At Now Make Me a Sandwich, everything is made from scratch.
It's clear as soon as you bite into one of these unique creations that this isn't your ordinary chain restaurant.
Here, you'll find everything from grilled cheese on sourdough to braised pork belly on Telera rolls.
There's a sandwich for everyone here. And even if you don't see something you like, you can modify anything on the menu.
This place is known for serving sandwiches inspired by cuisines around the world.
The Buddha Call, Fidel Cash Flow, and the Steak Beastie are especially popular.
If you're not in the mood for a traditional sandwich, you can skip the bread and order your menu item over a bowl of arugula or some home fries.
The bowls are just as tasty as the sandwiches.
Now Make Me a Sandwich was named one of the best sandwich trucks in Seattle by Seattle Met, and it's easy to see why.
We have no doubt that the brick and mortar location will do very well.
Now Make Me a Sandwich is open for lunch Monday - Saturday, although hours vary. What would you order from their menu right now?
