Although it's fun to try a new restaurant every time you dine out, we're natural creatures of habit who tend to gravitate toward our favorite date night spots and neighborhood gems. But sometimes the food is so exceptional at these places, it's worth it.
There are many reasons these Washington eateries are worth checking out more than once (a diverse menu and welcoming ambiance, for example), but one thing is certain: The food is always delicious.
1. Arrowleaf Bistro, 207 White Ave., Winthrop
Our favorite little "Old West" town has plenty of great places to eat, but Arrowleaf Bistro happens to be exceptional. It's a warm, friendly neighborhood restaurant with something for everyone.
2. Ciudad, 6118 12th Ave S., Seattle
Seattle's Georgetown neighborhood is full of underrated eateries, and Ciudad is no exception. It's possible to dine here 10 times and have 10 totally different meals, which is exactly what you'll want to do.
3. The Blackbird, 905 N Washington St., Spokane
Brisket Sandwich? BBQ Belly? Smoked Salmon Salad? With so many delectable things on this menu (not to mention the brunch options), multiple trips to The Blackbird are practically mandatory.
4. Mama’s Kitchen, 611 Main St.,
Vancouver
This is authentic Southern comfort food done right. Need we say more?
5. Cowiche Canyon Kitchen + Icehouse, 202 E Yakima Ave., Yakima
Cowiche Canyon serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and you may want to eat all 3 meals here once you've tried their savory entrees.
6. Taqueria Yungapeti, 320 S 9th Ave., Walla Walla
This super-fast, super-casual Mexican spot has some of the most addictive street tacos you'll ever try. You'd better order them multiple times just to be sure.
7. Owl Sprit Cafe, 218 Polk St., Port Townsend
Owl Sprit Cafe is a warm, welcoming place where locals and tourists alike will enjoy good food and friendly service. No wonder most patrons return again and again.
8. The Table, 2715 6th Ave., Tacoma
If you've ever gathered a group of loved ones for dinner at The Table, you know how delicious the food is and how perfect the space is for quiet conversations. If you haven't, your first visit here most likely won't be your last.
9. Blondie’s Plate, 134 S 2nd Ave., Sequim
From the signature flatbreads to the unbelievably creamy Jack Mac N' Cheese, it's easy to fall in love at first bite at Blondie's. Their Roast Chicken is cooked to perfection.
10. Tacos Chukis, 219 Broadway E., Seattle
Since it's tucked away on the second floor of a building on Broadway, it's easy to miss Tacos Chukis. But those who find it promptly become addicted to their unique and tasty tacos.
11. Soulful Soups and Spirits, 117 N Howard St., Spokane
Just try and only eat this beer bread once in your lifetime. We dare you (the soup is excellent as well).
12. Boundary Bay Brewery & Bistro, 1107 Railroad Ave., Bellingham
Come for the beer, stay for the... well, everything on the food menu, really. Just make sure you save room for flourless chocolate cake.
Washington is home to so many different cuisines, deciding where to enjoy a meal can be extremely difficult. Just remember, you can never go wrong with pizza.
