As one of the northernmost states in the country, Vermont is known for its scenic summer weather, beautiful fall foliage, and intense winters. And, once again, according to the Farmers' Almanac, it looks like Vermont can expect cold and stormy weather during the upcoming winter season. While the Farmers' Almanac winter forecast anticipates snow throughout Vermont, it doesn't foresee that it'll compare to previous years when the state was slammed with blizzards. However, the Farmers' Almanac does predict different variations of snow throughout each month in the winter. Read on to learn more about what's in store for this winter in Vermont.
Per the Farmers' Almanac, it looks like the Atlantic Seaboard might be slammed with ice, snow, rain, and sleet this winter. As a result, you may see mounds of snow like the one in this picture when you visit Vermont.
Even though the Farmers' Almanac winter forecast predicts a winter chill and a stormy - possibly slushy - January, you can still have a blast playing in the snow!
If all predictions are correct, Vermont might experience a mix of snow and sleet throughout the winter seasons. In other words: get ready to shovel!
In fact, it's not a bad idea to have a shovel or two ready to get your car out after it's been snowed in!
Since rough winters aren't new to Vermont, you shouldn't have a problem taking a drive and checking out the covered bridges throughout the state.
Once the snow and frigid temperatures have subsided, take advantage of the great skiing conditions in the state. The weather should be ideal for a winter hike, too.
