There's plenty of chain restaurants that you can dine and grab a drink at in Vermont, but what makes Vermont really Vermont, are the independently-owned small businesses. The Chili's and Applebee's of the world just can't compete with the eclectic flare you'll find at some of our homegrown bars and restaurants. One of those spots is the Light Club Lamp Shop in Burlington and if you haven't been, you'll want to add it to your list.
Light Club Lamp Shop opened in Burlington in November of 2014 as a beautifully decorated, cozy vintage lamp lounge & craft cocktail spot.
Dozens of colorful, vintage lamps hang from the ceilings of this unique dive.
The full-service bar serves everything from local beers (cans and bottles) and ciders to artisan cocktails.
Speaking of cocktails, their bartenders are not messing around.
For a warm winter drink, try their Toddy Rundgren which has mulling spice infused Jameson, ginger,
lemon, angostura bitters, and hot water.
If you want to grab a bite to eat before, Duende, their adjacent sister restaurant, has amazing food.
The atmosphere of the bar changes depending on the night of the week ranging from a lowkey spot for quiet conversations to all-out disco dance parties.
They also have tons of live music and bands and musicians from all over Vermont come to play here.
During live music nights, the bar does charge a cover fee, but it's well worth it to see the awesome musicians they bring in.
For unique decor, good vibes, amazing live music, and fantastic cocktails, make a trip to Light Club Light Shop in Burlington.
Ready to check this spot out? Light Club Lamp Shop is open Sunday thru Thursday from 7pm – Close and Saturday and Monday from 6pm – 2am.
