1. Little Black Mountain, Brattleboro
If you were always curious to see what New Hampshire looked like from Vermont, you'll get your chance when you hike this 1.2-mile trail.
2. Dummerston Covered Bridge, Dummerston
While there are over 100 covered bridges in Vermont, the West Dummerston Covered Bridge stretches nearly 280 feet and was built in 1872, making it one of the most coveted hidden gems in Vermont.
3. Robert Frost Wayside Trail, Ripton
Although this trail is short and sweet, you'll get to enjoy some of Frost's poetry as you meander along the path. You can see his words come alive as you pass through the trees.
4. World's Tallest Filing Cabinet, Burlington
Aside from being one of the most unusual sites on your road trip, it will probably be the tallest. At over 40 feet in height, this installation is the highest filing cabinet in the world. It was built in 2002 by a local artist in response to some politics happening in Burlington, and now has its own claim to fame. The good news when traveling to see this hidden gem in Vermont, is that it's hard to miss!
5. Sunset Drive-In Theatre, Colchester
This seasonal gem is a fun stop to catch a movie and fill up on popcorn. You'll feel like you've stepped back in time at the retro Sunset Drive-In Movie Theater.
6. Garden of Eatin' Cafe, Williston
You'll feel like you're in a fairy tale when stopping for a bite at this charming restaurant.
7. Dog Mountain, Home of Stephen Huneck Gallery, St. Johnsbury
