1. University of Vermont, Burlington
Aside from being one of the most scenic spots to appreciate the fall foliage, explore some of the haunted buildings on the campus. This includes the Counseling Center which is said to be the home of the ghost of Captain John Nabb, the former owner of the house.
2. Emily's Bridge/Gold Brook Bridge, Stowe
Even though this covered bridge is named after a woman who hung herself after she was scorned by her lover, it's still a great destination to take some fall photos.
3. Green Mountain Cemetery, Montpelier
In addition to being a peaceful place to stretch your legs during your road trip, keep an eye and ear out for unusual things like visions and footsteps that can't be explained.
4. Lake Bomoseen, West Castleton
In addition to taking in the breathtaking lake views, feel free to hike on the Slate History Trail to check out the ghost town at the park.
5. Marble Mansion Inn, Fair Haven
Built in 1867, Marble Mansion Inn has been declared a historic site that just happens to be where ghosts have been sighted too.
6. The Equinox Golf Resort and Spa, Manchester
Aside from exploring the scenic grounds, you could possibly stumble across the ghost of Mary Todd too.
7. Glastenbury Mountain, Glastenbury
End your spooky road trip with a visit to Glastenbury Mountain. Along with enjoying the fall scenery, you might feel the presence of one of the four people known to have disappeared from here.
