Converse Hall at the University of Vermont (UVM) was built in 1895 as a male dormitory. To this day, it's still used for the same purpose.
In 2021, Converse Hall UVM was added to the National Register of Historic Places due to its unique design which can easily pass for the backdrop of a scene in Harry Potter.
Although Converse Hall was fairly remote when it was first built, it's now surrounded by the University of Vermont Medical Center.
When you visit the University of Vermont campus, you'll find more Harry Potter-inspired buildings - such as the Old Mill Building. Therefore, I suggest bringing your camera and favorite costume when you explore Converse Hall and UVM.

Why We Love It: It's taken several trips for me to figure out my perfect "weekender bag that's TSA approved," but I've found my perfect carry on with the TOBIQ Colorado 30L. Westminster is Vermont's oldest existing town and was chartered in 1735.
In March 1775, a session of New York’s court was meeting in Westminster. The judge knew that some settlers were angry at the courts, but there was a murder trial, and the judge wanted to do his duty and keep the court as planned.
A mob of men took over the courthouse because they thought the judge could not foreclose on their land if he couldn't actually be in the courthouse. However, a sheriff and his crew wanted to chase them away.
No one is sure exactly what happened, but when the mob refused to leave the courthouse, a fight broke out between the two groups, and two of the protesters were killed while others were injured.
