With the holidays just around the corner, you might have already started to see the Christmas movies on TV. Each movie has its own interpretation of what the North Pole looks likes, but what they all share in common are the toys. Vermont has its own toy-making factory in Shelburne, and this one is dedicated just for the bears.
Vermont Teddy Bear Company has been making beautiful bears for over 30 years.
Vermont Teddy Bear Company first opened in 1981. It started with the founder selling teddy bears from a cart on Church Street in Burlington. It's since become the largest teddy bear factory in all of Vermont. All of their bears are handcrafted at their factory in Shelburne.
When you enter, you'll be in teddy bear heaven.
There's even a teddy bear hospital.
Each bear has a lifetime warranty, so if your bear runs into any accidents or tears, you can bring it to the factory to have it repaired.
When you go on the factory tour, you'll get to see how the bears are made.
As you walk through the factory, you'll feel like you're in the North Pole with Santa's elves at work.
You can even make a bear yourself!
The Bear Ambassadors will show you how it's done so you can make your own bear.
Once you visit, you'll have a hard time not wanting to take one of the teddy bears home.
Fortunately, there's a store on-site to purchase a bear for yourself or for someone else as a gift.
If you can't make it to the factory, you can order a teddy bear online.
Each day, teddy bears are created, packed up in their own individual boxes, and sent to lucky homes throughout the country.
