When you're looking for sporting goods, there's a huge store right here in Sandy that has just about anything you could ever want. But this place isn't just a store - it also has an aquarium, a wildlife display, a snack shop, and a Ferris Wheel. Have you visited Sheels?

Scheels opened its Sandy location back in 2012, and it carries just about anything you need for just about any sport. You'll find it in Sandy.

This humongous, two-story retail store covers 220,000 square feet. Set aside plenty of time to browse through to see it all.

This place is not a typical store - in addition to all kinds of products, it also has a few features you won't normally find in a retail store...like a huge aquarium.

When you first walk in the doors, you'll see the 16,000-gallon saltwater aquarium that's full of all kinds of sea life.

The other attraction you can't miss inside this cavernous, two-story store is its Ferris Wheel.

That's right - there's a 65-foot Ferris Wheel inside this Scheels, and you're going to want to take a few minutes out of your shopping time to ride it.

Scheels carries just about everything you'd ever need to play sports or enjoy the outdoors. It has a vast selection of items for every kind of team or individual sport.

From basketball, volleyball and baseball, to golf, tennis, swimming, hockey, and skiing, Scheels has all the gear for you.

You'll find apparel for every sport, too. Whether you need new running clothes or soccer cleats, Scheels probably has what you need, and it carries clothing for men, women, and children.

Sports fans will also find some great apparel, too. Scheels has a large section of both University of Utah and BYU gear, and also carries other local university apparel as well as pro sports teams merchandise.

There's a large section of winter toys...

...but if you're planning a tropical vacation in the middle of the winter, Scheel's also has a huge section of swimsuits, googles, fins, and more.

Unlike some stores that specialize in either sports gear or outdoor gear, Scheels has both. Check out the hunting and fishing gear, and test your skills in the shooting gallery.

The Wildlife Mountain showcases all kinds of animals in a natural setting. In the outdoor section of the store, you'll find tents, sleeping bags, camp stoves, knives, guns, and more.

After browsing through all 220,000 square feet at Scheels, you'll have worked up an appetite. Head to Ginna's Cafe for some fresh, homemade fudge, a sandwich, and a cup of soup.

Scheels is open seven days a week.

Shop Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
