For one week in July 2022, cultural dance groups from around the world are flocking to Utah to participate in the World Folkfest, the longest-running folk dance festival in the Western U.S.
Since 1986, this folk dance festival has been entertaining Utahns and individuals from all around the world. Over the years, dancers and musicians from more than 45 countries have performed at this popular event.
This festival, taking place from Monday, July 25, to Saturday, July 30, features a full week of events designed for the entire family. However, the nightly performances are the highlight of World Folkfest.
Each night offers something new for guests and you’ll not want to miss a single performance. More than 250 dancers from 10 countries will dance on the large stage in the Springville Arts Park over this week-long event.
Not only can you immerse yourself in a new culture by watching the performances, but you can try some global eats as well. Multiple food trucks will be at the festival, offering cuisine options from all around the world.
No matter which performances you choose to attend, make sure you arrive early. There are booths and activities for every member of your family such as scavenger hunts, giveaways, and photo-op stations.
