Utah has many incredible Mexican restaurants, but there's one in Salt Lake City that's especially unique. Not only is the food (and presentation) stunning, but the restaurant's decor and theme are one-of-a-kind.
Frida Bistro is located at 545 W. 700 S. in Salt Lake City. The restaurant opened in 2010.
Since its opening, the restaurant has won several awards from Salt Lake City Magazine and Best of the Beehive.
The restaurant is named after Frida Kahlo, the Mexican artist.
The interior is bright and vibrant, with reproductions of Kahlo's art and other Mexican artwork.
The vibe here is creative, colorful and happy.
The patio is perfect on a summer evening...
...and dinner inside is cozy and warm.
The owners of Frida Bistro note that she was passionate about her life and her art, and they try to bring the same passion to their food.
The food is absolutely delicious, and also artistic.
The menu has twelve margaritas on it.
From the traditional Fresca Rita to the Papaya Habanero, there's a drink here for you!
Even the dessert is an artistic display (and a decadent treat, too).
This is the Pastel de Mole Negro: Chocolate mole cake, dark chocolate ganache, honey-chocolate mousse, tequila-pickled cherries and house made black pepper ice cream
