Utah is hundreds of miles from the coast, so you might not think you can find great seafood here. You'd be wrong. We have plenty of great seafood restaurants, and here's one you definitely need to try.
Located in an old, historic building that was once a Ford auto shop, Current Fish & Oyster serves up some of the best seafood you'll ever eat. You'll find it at 279 E. 300 S. in Salt Lake City.
The interior is modern industrial, with high ceilings, exposed brick walls and stained cement floors. Dining here is upscale casual.

You'll want to start off with some fresh oysters. Current Fish & Oyster flies in oysters from both coasts.
The menu changes seasonally, but it includes delicious, fresh fish from all corners of the globe.
If you're looking for something light, you can't go wrong with the seafood cobb salad, which includes crab, shrimp, and scallops.
The branzino is a house specialty. This flavorful fish is cooked whole and served with Israeli cous cous, chard and eggplant.
The pan-roasted scallops is another signature dish here. They're served with crispy rice, snow peas and beech mushroom, in a tangy carrot-ginger sauce.
Dine at Current Fish & Oyster for lunch Monday through Friday from 11 AM to 4 PM; dinner Monday through Saturday 4 PM to 10 PM; Sunday 4 PM to 9 PM.
