This One Beautiful Utah Lake Has A Beach That Rivals The Coast

Cemetery Point Beach at Pineview Reservoir in Utah offers a beautiful and accessible beach experience with amenities and scenic views.

When you're wishing for a beach vacation, you might think of California's sunny coast, or the beautiful beaches in Hawaii, but you don't need to take a plane to find a pretty beach - there are a few right here in Utah! There's one gorgeous lake in the Beehive State that features a pretty beach that rivals those on the coast. Check out Cemetery Point Beach:

Pineview Reservoir was created in 1937 when a dam was built on the Ogden River. The reservoir is nestled in the Ogden Valley at an elevation of around 5,000 feet, so it's a nice, cool spot to spend a sunny Utah day.

Pineview has three public beaches, and our favorite is Cemetery Point Beach in Huntsville.

Visitors to this beach will pay $18 for access, but the fee is well worth it. The beach offers parking, restrooms, and pavilions, and the money generated at the toll booth helps maintain the area.

On a hot, summer day you'll want to bring an awning or shelter for a little bit of shade. Set up your beach chairs and cooler, then relax on the sand and enjoy the fresh air.

You'll enjoy beautiful views of the water and the lush, green hills that surround the reservoir.

Cemetery Point Beach is a perfect spot of kayaking or paddleboarding, and ClubRec offers rentals so you don't have to lug your own kayak to the lake. Make sure to slather on the sunscreen, then get out there on the lake for some fun!

There's plenty of soft sand here, and your kids will have a blast digging and creating sand castles.

On weekends, Cemetery Point Beach can get very crowded. Arrive early to set up your spot, or try to visit on a weekday when the crowds are much smaller.

The beach is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Please make sure to pack out everything you pack in, and keep this beach nice for everyone.

While dogs are allowed on most of the shoreline around the lake, they're not allowed at Cemetery Point Beach, so leave your pup home.

This Natural Water Park In Utah Is A Summer Dream Come True

Swim, paddle, fish, and play on the beach at Fire Lake Park, a natural water park in Ivins, Utah. It's the perfect summer destination.

When the southern Utah heat becomes too much to bear or you want a little fun outdoors and in the water, we’ve got the perfect place for you — Fire Lake Park in Ivins. This city park is more like a natural water park as it encompasses Ivins Reservoir and offers a designated area for swimming, paddling, and even picnicking. It’s the perfect place to spend a summer day.

Ivins Reservoir was created in 1918 for irrigation purposes. In 2015, constructed began to create a space for recreational activities, and in May 2016, Fire Lake Park officially opened to the public.

Today when you visit, you’ll find the ultimate summer destination with the entire family in mind.

This recreational area is the perfect place for a day of swimming. You may even want to bring kayaks or tubes and enjoy a lazy float.

You can spend some time along the sandy shore and build sand castles. You can also spread out and try your luck fishing. Play a game of frisbee or stare at the clouds on the large grassy fields as well.

There are also several amenities at Fire Lake Park including bathrooms, showers, foot wash stations, and a water fountain.

If you want to stay for an entire day, bring a picnic and enjoy a meal at one of the many picnic tables or under the pergola.

Unlike the many man-made water parks in Utah, admission is free to this outdoor destination. It is open from dawn to dusk seven days a week.

Keep in mind that this park can become quite busy in the summer and once the parking lot is full, this city park is closed to new visitors.

There are also no reservations for Fire Lake Park. No motorized vehicles, smoking, drugs, alcohol, or fires are allowed.

Tubing in Utah is one of the best ways to cool off while playing outdoors. And it's also the perfect way to have a blast with your friends and family! If this sounds like a great plan to you, High Country Adventure offers trips where you can float the Provo River and the Weber River. A Weber River float is a blast and offers a welcome respite from the Utah summer heat.

Floating on the water down a river in a tube is the perfect way to spend a summer day in the Beehive State. High Country Adventure, located in Provo, can hook you up with a tube and provide transportation. Two different trips are offered, a Provo River float and a Weber River float.

When you float the Provo River, you'll put in just below Deer Creek and stop at the company's private take-out at Vivian Park.

For the Weber River float trip, you'll start near Henefer and end at Taggart. Each trip tubing in UT is roughly two hours long.

High Adventure provides shuttle service, life jackets, basic instruction, and rugged, high-quality tubes.

You can also rent a cooler tube to pack some cold drinks, a water-resistant bag to hold your camera or phone, and booties or wetsuits.

Whether you start by floating the Weber River or choose a Provo River float trip, you're guaranteed to have one of the best floats in UT.

The scenery along both natural lazy rivers in UT is absolutely gorgeous, too.

It's recommended that participants on the Provo River be at least 12 years old. You'll encounter some Class I and II rapids with High Country Adventure and should be able to swim and be in decent physical condition.

For the Weber River trip, participants must be at least 14 years old. This wild ride has Class I, II, and III rapids, so you'll definitely want to make sure that you're up for a challenge.

If you're not in the best physical shape, but would still love to go tubing in UT, consider taking a guided raft trip with High Country Adventure.

On the guided raft trip, a knowledgeable guide will navigate the river and do all the paddling. Younger participants are also allowed on these trips.

When the summer days start to heat up, you'll definitely want to float the river to cool off.
