While it's already known by many that Milwaukee is one of the most underrated cities in the country, it's becoming undeniable that we're also a destination for all things cool. From our rich history to our unforgettable brews, there are countless things about Brew City that have all of the cool kids coming back for more. Here are nine reasons Milwaukee blows the rest out of the water with our swagger.

1. We’re the life of the party.

As the "City of Festivals," there’s always a celebration here. Not only that, but our music scene in general is booming and we embrace summers to the absolute fullest! Wherever you go, you’re sure to find like-minded party people on any given night.

2. Craft beer for days.

Though Brew City is known for names like Miller and Schlitz, there are dozens of microbreweries popping up with incredible brews. Even if you’re not up for a brewery tour, most restaurants serve all of the unique local craft beers, so you’re never missing out on something spectacular.

3. Coffee shops that make you look cooler by just sitting in them.

Milwaukee is a coffee city, and our roasters definitely know what they’re doing. If you’re looking for the best latte or pour-over of your life, you don’t have to go far, and they’re usually nestled inside a chic cafe that will make you feel cooler than anyone else.

4. The art scene.

Everywhere you go, there is art to be seen. Whether you’re taking the traditional route and going to one of our many awesome museums or looking for something more laid back, like a gallery in Walker’s Point, the art here is mind-blowing. It even fills the walls of our city streets, and it’s awesome!

5. Harleys are everywhere.

As the home to Harley-Davidson, it’s not unusual to see a biker gang or two. The cool kid in you that always dreamed of having a tricked out motorcycle will find fulfillment in our city streets. If you’re feeling a little less dangerous, you can always check out the Harley-Davidson museum.

6. Fandoms that can’t be beat.

Our fans stick together. If you hear us from miles away chanting ‘Fear The Deer’ or ‘Lets Go Brewers’ until we lose our voices, we’re doing it together and it’s unstoppable.

7. Traditions that go way, way back.

Milwaukee’s history is rich. Besides our beautiful architecture, you can find it in our cultural traditions. Our German culture runs deep, and you can see it most evidently in our food and celebrations.

8. Low cost of living.

Compared to the rest of the country, the cost of living in Milwaukee is fairly low and affordable. Now you have more money to eat great food and go to shows!

9. The weather.

It’s so cool, it’s freaking cold. But in all seriousness, it’s not everywhere that you can experience all four seasons to the fullest. Spring and Fall are absolutely beautiful, and our summers are warm and wonderful - especially since we're right on Lake Michigan! Winter toughens you up, and we're never going to let the weather stop us from finding a good time, whether its taking part in the countless wintertime activities or appreciating the best of our indoor attractions.
