Milwaukeeans tend to stick to their traditions. Whether it be drinking the same beer or eating our Midwestern staples, there's some things you simply just do if you live in Milwaukee. It's okay, you don't have to admit it, we already know that you've done all of these twelve things at least once.
1. The Polar Plunge.
If you're a true Milwaukeean, you spend New Years Day jumping in the lake. We're pretty sure it's the initiation into becoming a real Milwaukeean.
2. Bowled your heart away at Holler House.
Milwaukeeans not-so-secretly love bowling, and it is the oldest bowling alley in America, after all.
3. Woke up early just to see the wings open.
Everyone has seen the art museum's wings move at least once.
4. Lost your friends at Summerfest.
You'll run into them eventually... hopefully... it's only the world's largest music festival.
5. Tailgated more than you actually watched the Brewers game.
Sometimes tailgating is the game.
6. Got Leon’s frozen custard in the middle of winter.
It's just that good, and they're open year round!
7. Pretended to be a tourist just to take a picture with The Fonz.
It's only the most touristy thing to do, but we know you couldn't resist.
8. Closed Wolski’s.
And got the bumper sticker to prove it.
9. Ate Ian’s Pizza at an ungodly hour.
Ian's is the best late night pizza. Period.
10. Got spooked at The Rave.
Odds are you've seen an awesome concert here, but you might've also seen something that's given you nightmares.
11. Yelled at an Illinois driver.
Just don't ask us what a "FIB" is if you don't already know.
12. Crawled down Brady Street.
We've all done a bar crawl or two, but a crawl down Brady will be a night to remember... or forget.
There you have it - 12 things every Milwaukeean has done (or at least should have by now)! Have you done everything on this list? Let us know in the comments below!
