The magical Wizard Weekend, where the whole town transforms into a Harry Potter wonderland, is one of the town's best winter events.
This popular happening is traditionally held the last weekend in January.
We're sure you'll find that it is fantasy at its finest right here in Appalachia.

With walking tours, scavenger hunts, outdoor games and activities...
... special restaurant menu items, and Harry Potter themed products in stores, there's something here for every Harry Potter fan.

Come in costume, with one caveat: check the weather and make sure to dress accordingly. In January here in West Virginia, that usually means dressing warm! Good thing Harry Potter is most easily recognizable by his heavy, warm striped scarf and long, dark wizard robe.
