Whitewater rafting, kayaking, and canoe adventures can be fun, but sometimes it's nice to just float down the river, letting the current take you where it may. River & Trail Outfitters provides many adventures on the water, or simply an opportunity to lazily float down the river, soaking in the sun. This outfitter was awarded certificates of excellence by Trip Advisor for 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and beyond.
The float trip, which takes place on the Potomac River, is just one of many packages offered by the company. It also serves several areas in and around Harper's Ferry, including locations in Maryland and Virginia. This includes tubing trips on the Shenandoah River and Antietam Creek, both of which are in Maryland, just over the border near Harpers Ferry.
There are a total of 10 package options for fun on the water that also include canoeing, kayaking, and rafting. For the West Virginia tubing adventure, there is no real guided experience, nor does their need to be. You don't even need to have equipment since the company provides a tube, life jacket and shuttle in its $25 price.
