Remember when Sunday drives were the thing to do? Guess what?! In Vermont it's STILL the thing to do! Whether you take a few hours or a few days, these VT byways will give you your fill of Vermont... and then some. Gas up, get ready, get set, GO!
1. Connecticut River Byway
This beautiful byway runs along the Connecticut River and is full of wonderful architecture, historic places, river towns and many places to stop and take a moment to explore the sights. One stop we love along this route is the Montshire Museum in Norwich.

2. The Crossroad of Vermont Byway
Enjoy this drive that is jam packed with classically Vermont spots. This byway is only about 50 miles, but you'll want to stop many places along the way - especially if you love festivals in the summer.

3. Green Mountain Byway
It only takes about 30 minutes to drive the Green Mountain Byway end to end, so be sure to take advantage of all the shops and restaurants on the way.

4. Lake Champlain Byway - Vermont
You'll love the stunning scenery at each and every part of the Lake Champlain Byway. It may take 2.5 hours to drive it, but you'll want to take 2.5 days (if not 2.5 weeks!) to see all there is along this path.

5. Mad River Byway
From swimming holes to easy Long Trail access, this 36 mile stretch is packed with punch. When in Waitsfield, be sure to check out the epic farmers market.

6. Molly Stark Byway
This route in Southern Vermont isn't famous just for Molly Stark - here you'll find history about Ethan Allen, Robert Frost, and Grandma Moses. This byway is full of surprises, so don't travel too fast. You won't want to miss these sights!

7. Scenic Route 100 Byway
This byway may be known as the "Skiers Highway," but this road will take you through 20 towns and have some of the most stunning views you'll find in a single drive. It's beautiful year round, so don't wait for winter to experience this trip.

8. Stone Valley Byway
Yabba, Dabba Doo! This route takes you through some of the oldest and most impressive quarries around!
