Summer is upon us and our calendars are filling up with vacations, visits and events, but don't let the summer slide by without doing these 15 things. These will make your summer bucket list well rounded and give you a chance to experience both classic and unique things that will make this a summer to remember.
1. Take a dip at the Bolton Potholes.
Bolton Potholes is a popular swimming hole made up of 5 waterfalls that each create their own pool of water.
2. Pick your own berries.
A summer of berry picking is upon us, so support a local farm and have fun picking the best and brightest. Remember, the darker the berry, the sweeter the juice!
3. Hike a bit of the Long Trail.
This Long Trail is a 272-mile footpath with 185 miles of side trails, so doing the whole thing is ambitious, to say the least. But that doesn't mean you can't hike a part of it. Happy trails!
4. Visit the Montshire Museum of Science.
Don't let your brain fry in the summer sun and check out the many hands on exhibits at this beautiful museum. Don't forget to pack a swimsuit and towel for the outdoor science park!
5. Be amazed at the Festival of Fools.
A fun for the whole family street performer and music festival on July 29-30 featuring performers from around the globe on the Church Street Marketplace in Downtown Burlington.
6. Go to a drive-in movie.
Finally, a theater you can bring your own snacks! The Sunset Drive-In in Colchester has 4 screens and is a great way to spend a summer night.
7. Go to a farmers market.
Vermonters love fresh, farm to table dishes, and there is no better place to get the ingredients than a local farmers market. Fresh food, friendly faces, and supporting local farms. Awesome!
8. Go tubing.
Find a lazy river and spend the day floating along and taking in the gorgeous scenery of Vermont.

11. Webbed entertainment.
Check out the amazing webs spun at the Knight's Spider Web Farm in William's town. Real webs are spun into works of art, and the only thing more entertaining than the webs is the colorful stories spun by Will Knight.

The Quechee Hot Air Balloon Festival is longest continuously running Hot Air Balloon Festival in New England. 13. Clarendon Gorge
Challenge your fear of heights by checking out the Clarendon Gorge from the swinging, suspended bridge. It's a nail biter!

Bring your boat out and enjoy this island. Family friendly, remote camping, fabulous sunsets and great hiking trails make this a unique and memorable trip.
15. Have fun at the Champlain Valley Fair.
There is so much to see and do at this 10 day extravaganza. Music, rides, agricultural expositions, games, food and much, much more. Go once and you'll return every year for more!
