I love watching the Olympics! And Olympic Games after Olympic Games, Vermont sends more athletes to compete per capita than any other state. In fact, when comparing Olympians from VT to any other state, it's kind of a landslide in comparison! The town of Norwich has the unusual — and awesome — reputation for sending a large number of athletes to represent the United States at the Olympics every four years. With roughly 3,400 residents, the amount of Olympians from this little town in VT is staggering.

The town is incredibly proud of their athletes and famous Olympians from Vermont, such as Hannah Kearney (pictured). Kearney was born in Norwich and took home a gold medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics and a bronze medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics.
In 2018, Vermont was represented by 13 athletes at the Winter Olympics.
