After all, Vermonters always have a few tricks up their sleeves. What you'll find when you unpack the truck and head outside is that the mountain views are better, the people are nicer, the water is clearer and the food is fresher than anywhere else. You picked a great place to move, but please don't try to change it. We love our little state just as it is!

8. Do NOT use your car horn unless absolutely necessary.
9. Everything tastes better with maple syrup.
10. You'll need a car to get just about anywhere.
11. When the weather is warm, there are a lot of bugs.
12. There really are moose here.
13. Covered Bridges are everywhere.
14. High heels just don't cut it.
15. All of your out-of-state friends and family will be asking to crash on your couch.
16. Mud season is no joke!
17. Swimming holes are the best way to cool down.
18. You’ll always be a flatlander.
