1. Allis State Park
Allis State Park in Brookfield is Vermont’s second developed state park, and it is also one of Vermont’s least known parks. You won't want to miss the views from the fire tower!

You'll find a great little Norman Rockwell exhibit in the back of the Sugar Shack in Arlington. If you're lucky, you might even see some of over 200 models he used while painting in Vermont.

4. Owl’s Head
This short hike is only ½ mile long and in about 30 minutes you’ll be at the summit of Owl’s Head in Groton State Forest. What a view!

There used to be loads of little ski resorts throughout Vermont, but now they are mostly large resorts these days. Take a hike around Hogback Mountain and see the remains of this once popular little mountain.
