Vermont may be small, but it's filled with cool things to see and do. Since no one has seen it all, we thought we'd share some hidden places in Vermont that you'll definitely want to check out if you didn't know about them before. 1. The Whispering Statue
Many people have driven past this statue in Barre dozens of times and had no idea that there is a natural phenomena here. You can hear someone whispering when you sit at the opposite end of the bench!

2. Seyon Lodge State Park
Located in the Groton State Forest, the Seyon Lodge State Park is the only Vermont State Park that is open year round. With a cozy lodge and the best fly fishing around, this place is amazing.

3. Chazy Reef
The Chazy Reef is the world’s oldest biologically diverse reef in the history of Earth, and it's right here in Vermont! A great place for a family friendly activity and a great day trip destination.

4. Silver Lake
From the sandy beach to the perfect paddling spot, this lake in Barnard is perfect for a summer day.

5. Alburgh Dunes State Park
The beach at this State Park that's tucked away in Northern Vermont is simply wonderful. The views, the beach, the water... You'll love this stretch of beach that's Vermont's longest along Lake Champlain.

6. August First Bakery & Cafe
Ok, nothing is really "hidden" if it's in a city, but this little place has a gem among all of it's tasty offerings. That's right, the Maple Biscuits here are perhaps the best in all the world. You won't want to miss them!

7. Bingham Falls
This natural spring fed swimming hole in Stowe is a magical place. Tucked away off a trail in Smugglers Notch State Park, this place should not be missed.

8. Half Moon Pond State Park
The Half Moon Pond State Park is a great place to spend the day, but locals know that it's also one of the most beautiful campgrounds in Vermont.
