Each year on the Saturday before Halloween, the town of Newport is transformed into a halloween wonderland in VT. Here you'll find activities for the whole family (and a haunted house just for adults) making it a huge, town-wide celebration. Let's take a look at the schedule of events for the annual Monster Bash and what you'll find in Newport from 1:00 to 3:00 on October 28, 2017.
Come one, come all for tricks, treats and fun for the whole family!
Children and parents are invited to gather at the Great Pumpkin Gazebo for a parade on Main Street and bike path.
Who knows? This year your trick or treater may win the cutest, creepiest or most creative in town.
To win the best costume award, be sure to strut your stuff by the judge's station in Pomerleau Park.
Go trick or treating at one of the many merchants participating in this year's Monster Bash. Just look for the "Trick or Treat" sign in the window!
Don't miss a wagon ride! The hay wagon will pick folks up at the Municipal Building parking lot for FREE loops around the waterfront.
Right after the parade, head over to the Newport Municipal Gym for kids and hilarious family games. Costume awards will be announced at 2:00 - Good luck!
The Gardner Park skate shack will be transformed into a VERY scary haunted house. Recommended ages 12 & up!
The younger kids will love the haunted halls on the first floor of the Emory Hebard State Building. Just knock on each door and a different surprise awaits in each room!
Be sure to check out the Newport City Dock as Kingdom Games participates in a global 'Vampire Swim' initiative. Proceeds (and blood!) will benefit the Red Cross and then the best part....
At 2:00 head to the Gateway boat launch and watch the daring folks who registered as they go for an icy 25-100 meter swim in the frigid waters of Lake Memphremagog! Brrrrrrr!!!!!
