Montgomery
The town of Montgomery is known for its seven beautiful and historic covered bridges. This makes Montgomery the record-holder for most covered bridges in New England and the United States at large! The list of covered bridges includes Comstock Covered Bridge, Fuller Covered Bridge, Hopkins Covered Bridge, Hutchins Covered Bridge, Longley Covered Bridge, West Hill Covered Bridge, and Hectorville Covered Bridge.
Middlebury
The Pulp Mill or Paper Mill Bridge was built in the 1820s, which makes it one of the oldest covered bridges in the U.S.. Along with being listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it's also one of only seven remaining double barrel covered bridges.
Bennington
Bennington is another town where you'll get a lot of covered bridge bang for your buck. There are three! Pictured is the Silk Bridge, which is is 88 feet long, 14.25 feet wide, and 10 feet high at the truss.

Dummerston
Built in 1872, this 280-foot bridge is the longest covered bridge entirely within the state of Vermont. The Windsor-Cornish Bridge is longer, but connects in New Hampshire.
Rockingham
No covered bridge trip would be complete without a stop at the kissing bridge! You'll find this beauty at the Vermont Country Store.
Windsor
At 449 feet long, the Windsor-Cornish Covered Bridge is one of the longest wooden covered bridges in the country. It was originally built in 1866 after three other bridges were destroyed by floods. And boy is it beautiful!
