There are many charming small towns all around the Beehive State. From towns near national and state parks, cities located along I-15, or locales with a bucket-list-worthy feature that draws the attention of Utahns and out-of-state visitors alike, Utah is full of some of the most unique and charming towns you'll ever visit! However, there is one small town that is lesser-known -- and in fact, you may have never heard of it -- and that's Enterprise. So allow us put it on your radar, because Enterprise is one small town in Utah that you need to visit.
Enterprise is located in southwestern Utah. It is west of Cedar City and near the Nevada and Utah state line.
This small town is a delightful farming community and approximately 1,500 residents call Enterprise home.
Similar to many small towns in Utah, Enterprise was established in the 1800s by the pioneers.
Originally, many early pioneers settled outside of Enterprise in a small town called Hebron. Here, they wanted to build a large dam to help store water to irrigate their crops during the hot and dry summer seasons. It took years, but they were able to reach their goal. This irrigation system allowed for the expansion of farming in the area, moving many residents to present-day Enterprise.
If you are looking for some fresh air and want to spend time in nature, Enterprise is an excellent getaway destination. This area is not only beautiful, but it is near many outdoor activities.
No trip to Enterprise is complete without a stop at Enterprise Reservoir. Located approximately 13 miles southwest of town, this reservoir is the place to go for fishing or boating.
During your visit, bring a kayak and spend the day on the water or capture images of the gorgeous forest and volcanic rocks with your camera.
This reservoir is also the perfect place to pitch a tent. You can spend the night at the Enterprise Reservoir Campground or the Honeycomb Rock Campground; both are located at Enterprise Reservoir.
After a day in the fresh air, head back into town and stop at Marv’s Drive-In for a tasty burger.
This hamburger joint and family business in Enterprise serves all of your drive-in favorites including thick, above-the-rim shakes. All of the food is made fresh to order so there is a bit of a wait, but the wait is certainly worth it.
Enterprise is also home to the annual Cornfest. This family-friendly harvest festival takes place in August and is where you will find some of the tastiest corn around.
This harvest celebration has been a favorite event for more than 30 years and includes a long list of activities including live entertainment, vendors, vintage cars, a Dutch oven dinner, sports tournaments, and more.
With so much to do and see, Enterprise is a small town with a lot to offer. When are you planning your visit?
