Kanab is a beautiful town with around 4,500 residents. It's surrounded by some of Utah's most spectacular scenery.
Kanab is located near Zion National Park, Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Bryce Canyon National Park and the Dixie National Forest.
Start your trip off with a visit to the Kane County Office of Tourism.
There's so much to see and do here that you'll want to get some guidance so you don't miss anything.
Take the Squaw Trail at the north end of town.
This trail is just three miles round trip, and offers scenic views of Kanab and the surrounding valley.

Check out Moqui Cave.
This fun, kitschy cave is full of all kinds of cool things, from dinosaur tracks to Native American artifacts. Visit it at 4581 US-89.
Visit Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.
This incredible sanctuary is home to dogs, cats, horses, birds, and all kinds of other species who are looking for homes. Visit the sanctuary to say hello, and maybe find a new fur-ever friend, too! 5001 Angel Canyon Road.
Play on the dunes at Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park.
Take a hike, take some photos, ride your ATV and camp overnight at this gorgeous state park. 12500 Sand Dune Road, Kanab.
Hike South Coyote Buttes.
If you've been trying to get a permit to hike The Wave with no luck, hike South Coyote Buttes instead. You'll still need a permit, but you're much more likely to obtain one, and this area is every bit as spectacular.
