Tennessee is home to many a small town, and quite a few folks have found their way around Franklin, Leipers Fork, and perhaps even Bell Buckle. But have you heard of Granville? This uniquely situated small town may be one of the most beautiful and underrated in the area, and we have a feeling you're about to fall in love with it. In case you need a few reasons to make the trek for yourself, we've put together a quick overview of this historic spot that's as beautiful to live in as it is to visit.
The Cumberland River feeds Cordell Hull Lake, the man-made water feature that hems in the town of Granville, Tennessee. The land once was home to many farmlands and has since become a prime spot for Tennessean's vacation plans.
Nowadays, Granville is considered the "Mayberry" of Tennessee. The natural beauty of the area adds an honest nostalgia to any visit, and the waterfront is perfect for boating and outdoor experiences.
Historic Granville includes the TB Sutton General Store, the Granville Museum, and a series of antique shops ad boutiques.
Make sure you take a few photos as you wander down the street. There's a series of restaurants and eateries to choose from, and the locals are so kind you may feel as though you've stepped through a time machine.
The countryside is also stunning...
...though it's Cordell-Hull Lake that offers some of the most lucrative outdoor opportunities in town.
