Snow tubing, however, is one of our favorite things when the snow starts to fall. Ober Mountain in Gatlinburg even has a "Magic Carpet" escalator that will transport you back up the hill after your fun trek down.
The snow tubing hill is great for all ages, continuously replenished with fresh snow and perfect for folks who are looking to experience the adrenaline rush of winter in the south. There are ten lanes that run across a four-hundred-foot hill, perfect for racing family and friends to the bottom.
Tubing sessions run for ninety minutes, so you'll want to buy tickets early and get as many rides in as you can.
