Let's check out some amazing things to do in Lynchburg, Tennessee!
Located about an hour and a half Southeast of Nashville, Lynchburg sits right in the heart of the hills of Moore County.
The town was first settled in 1801, and it was even home to famous pioneer Davy Crockett, who lived in the settlement from 1811 to 1813. On top of that, Rock and Roll icon Little Richard currently calls the small town home.
The town is small, home to only about 6,000 residents, but it averages over 250,000 visitors each year, primarily due to the town's biggest business -- the Jack Daniel's Distillery.
The distillery is by far the town's biggest attraction -- every drop of Jack Daniel's whiskey in the world is produced at their distillery in Lynchburg, from the same spring that Mr. Daniel himself first used to make his whiskey.
The town square is home to a 100-year-old courthouse as well as multiple antique stores, down-home country restaurants, and plenty of other stores to peruse.
One of the more notable restaurants is the famous Miss Mary Bobo's Boarding House. Here, patrons sit around large tables and share communal plates of classic, delicious Southern food.
Be sure to take a picture of yourself in the locally-famous Big Blue Chair, located on the square right next to the Lynchburg Drug Store.
If you've explored the town and are looking for more, be sure to drive around the surrounding hills and countryside. You'll lose track of time as you get immersed in the views of farms, hills, and secluded streams.
