South Dakota is famous for its Midwest niceness, where everyone is kind and welcoming, but did you know that there is one town that still manages to be even nicer than others (if that's even possible)? You can see and experience this for yourself via the friendliest town in South Dakota:
Welcome to wonderful Winner!
Located in southcentral SoDak, Winner is a Tripp County community of nearly 3,000 residents that invites you to "live, work, and play."
Founded in 1911, the town received its name as it was the county's most successful trading point (AKA the winner) and has since been referred to as the location of Nerdfighteria, a community of nerds who fight mediocracy and negativity.
Nerdfighteria sounds like a pretty nice place to us!
In addition to being home to an online community of "nerds," Winner also boasts a rich agricultural scene, housing some of the most generous and hardworking farmers and ranchers in the state.
When you visit Winner, be sure to check out some of the businesses and say hi to some of the locals, as you are guaranteed to be welcomed with open arms!
In addition to the good people, Winner is also home to some of the state's best hunting and outdoor recreation, plus ample shopping, restaurants, theaters, museums, and more.
To learn more about all there is to see and do in what is arguably the friendliest town in South Dakota, please visit the City of Winner's website.
