This pick-your-own strawberry farm has rows and rows of sweet fruit and it's a wonderful place for a family adventure.
Established in the 1800s, Salisbury Farm has been a working farm in the Johnston community for a long time. This family-friendly farm is a delightful destination for a day trip.
While you can pick a variety of fruits and veggies at Salisbury Farm, the most popular time to visit is strawberry season!
The Rhode Island strawberry season last for about four weeks beginning in late May or early-June. Come get lost in the rows bursting with bright berries to pick your fill.
Bring your own container or use the farm supplied pints, quarts, or six-quart flat boxes. If you're feeling really lazy you can purchase pre-picked strawberries.
The farm also sells plenty of other kinds of fresh produce at their farm stand. Stock up during the week to enjoy the fruits and vegetables straight off the farm.
Salisbury Farm also makes their own preserves. You'll definitely want to take some home, they far surpass what you'll find at the grocery store.
Stop and visit with the animals. The kids will love saying hello to these furry farm friends.
Throughout the year, Salisbury Farm has other pick-your-own seasons. They also host plenty of family events like a fall corn maze, hayrides, and much more.
