4. Walk or ride the Great Allegheny Passage from Pittsburgh to Cumberland, MD.
Map out an epic journey – which you can take on foot or by bike – that will lead you on a scenic 150 mile trek from Pittsburgh to Cumberland, Maryland. Your journey will take you through such towns as Boston, Connellsville, and Ohiopyle. If you're really up for the challenge, continue your adventure by continuing on the C&O Canal Towpath another 184 miles to Washington DC.
5. Explore Penn's Cave in Centre Hall.
Climb aboard a motorboat that will lead you through Penn's Cave, the only cave in the state to earn a spot on the National Register of Historic Places. During the 45 minute tour, you'll get a firsthand view of stalagmites and stalactites. 6. Cheer at the Little League World Series in Williamsport.
