Christmas is all about tradition for many of us, and Pennsylvania boasts a long list of treasured traditions - from meandering through Koziar's Christmas Village to celebrating a Dickens of a Christmas in Wellsboro. Another longstanding holiday tradition brings countless Pennsylvanians from near and far to this enchanting Christmas village in a small Pennsylvania town.
Bundle up for your old-fashioned holiday experience at Overly's Country Christmas, a Pennsylvania tradition for more than half of a century.
However, your magical Christmas experience will begin before you even get out of your car. As you drive along the one-mile driveway to the parking lot, admire the lighted displays.
Then, stroll through the old-time village, where you'll meet Henny Hemlock (pictured below), a talking Christmas tree.
Climb aboard a horse-drawn wagon or sleigh for a picturesque ride around the Christmas village.
Of course, Overly's Country Christmas promises plenty for the little ones, too - train rides, a winter playground, meeting with Santa, and a model train display.
Treat yourself to a delicious Christmas treat, too. The Christmas village features kettle corn, funnel cakes, and plenty of sweets. (Or, for a quick meal, order a juicy burger or hot dog.)
Warm up by the holiday bonfire that's popular for roasting marshmallows.
And, bring your Christmas list along. The General Store sells a vast assortment of holiday gifts, including ornaments and handcrafted decorations.
Indulge in an old-fashioned Christmas at Overly's Country Christmas, which opens each evening at 5:30 p.m. through January 1, 2019. Ending time depends on the day.
Overly's Country Christmas is closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
