No trip to Yachats is complete without exploring Cape Perpetua. Considered to be the highest point on the Oregon Coast, this beautiful area is located three miles south of town.
From awe-inspiring lookouts and hiking trails to stunning coastal beauty, this area is downright fascinating to explore. Make sure to check out Cook's Chasm and the Spouting Horn blowhole, two of the nearby natural wonders.
One of the most impressive natural wonders in the area is Thor's Well. This unique rock formation is a deep well that was naturally formed in the shoreline. Every now and then, the sea water spits back out dramatically, spraying high into the air.
Yachats is also a tide pooling paradise. You can stop by Yachats State Park, Devil's Churn, or Cape Perpetua to observe sea life up close.
