Haunted spots certainly aren’t hard to find in Oregon, especially if you go to some of its biggest cities. However, Oregon lays claim to some pretty bone-chilling tales of the paranormal in its small towns, too. Even if you’re not a true believer in the paranormal, you still might want to plan a visit to Gold Hill, one of Oregon’s most haunted small towns, to see if your experience changes your mind.
A quaint town in Oregon, Gold Hill is home to just over 1,200 residents, at least that we know of. It’s also got a few spots that might make you question whether some otherworldly spirits are lingering about.
If you want to increase your chances of experiencing the paranormal, head over to Rock Point Cemetery. It’s earned the title of one of Oregon’s spookiest cemeteries – and for good reason.
More than 900 souls have found their final resting place in the more than century-old cemetery. However, some of those souls are said to be restless, at least from what visitors have experienced.
Tales of an elderly man strolling through the cemetery are frequent. If you try to approach him, he simply disappears. That’s pretty tame, right?
Well, crypts have been known to mysteriously catch on fire. Don’t be too surprised, either, if you see a green fog rising from the cemetery or hear strange noises.
Even if you’re just driving past Rock Point Cemetery, you may well experience something quite strange. Vehicle windshields have just shattered when passing by.
That’s all pretty disturbing, right? Well, let’s keep going on to the Oregon Vortex. It’s not necessarily haunted, but it certainly is strange.
The Oregon Vortex and Mystery House will leave you struggling to stand upright; balls roll up instead of down; and depending on where you stand, you might be taller or shorter.
Learn more about the Oregon Vortex on its official website. Or, head over to its Facebook page here.
