Located in southern Oregon, the beautiful town of Ashland is endlessly charming, and it's a perfect place to experience the changing of the seasons. Be sure to see what's on at the legendary Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Every year, around a dozen incredible plays (modern and old) take place from February through November.
One of the most incredible things to do while visiting Ashland in autumn is to explore the incredible Lithia Park. This 93-acre park includes a Japanese garden, miles of hiking trails, a play structure, ponds, a fountain, scenic vistas, and more.
It's especially spectacular in Fall, when the trees are leaves are vibrant shades of orange, red, yellow, and purple.
There's plenty to do downtown, from catching a flick at the Varsity Theater to shopping at the Rogue Valley Growers & Crafters Market.

For an unforgettable afternoon excursion, take a short drive to the outskirts of town to check out some of southern Oregon's incredible vineyards. Fall is harvest time, so there's no better time to visit.
